 2004 Famine Final Results...

PHOTO: Shefford youngsters pulling water from the river in bucketsRegular readers of the sm3a website will remember that last year the YNU group's 24 Hour Famine event exceeded their fundraising expectations by nearly doubling the £500 initial estimate.

Not content to rest on their laurels they have set their sights even higher this year, and, true to form, they've done it again:

The Final, Confirmed Result Is That The Group Has Raised A Truly Astonishing £1,234 (£975 last year)

That's a lot of money, but just look at what it can actually do:

  • Provide 8,880 families with water filters to keep worms out of their drinking water

OR

  • Provide 120 cement ring wells to provide clean safe drinking water
Our thanks and blessings go out to everyone who helped with or contributed to this event - each and every one of you has made a big difference to the world we all live in by bringing hope to some of the most vulnerable people on earth...
