United Benefice Away Day

The Church Councils of St Mary's Meppershall and St Michael's Shefford spent a very profitable Away Day together on Saturday 13th November 2004 at The Stable, Haynes. As the two churches of the newly created United Benefice, the purpose was to 'Seek a way forward - together'.

Under the guidance of Canon Robin Brown, the Diocesan Local Ministry Officer, we explored ways of building on the relationship between the Churches, and discovered a wide range of means of encouraging and enriching the life and mission of each.

The day provided a valuable agenda for an effective partnership in the future. We offered our future into God's hands with a service in Haynes Parish Church.
