Welcome To St Michael's Church
We are currently rebuilding our website so that it can meet the technical needs of our 'online' world.
This is being made possible by the generous support of the Heritage Lottery Fund. It forms part of a larger project which has included the successful restoration of our historical Church Tower (Shefford's oldest structure), and the development and delivery of accessible heritage information.
As this is still very much a 'work in progress', our old website is still available - just click on the 'Old Website' link above.
Safeguarding
St Michael & All Angels Church is committed to high standards in the safeguarding and care of children, young people and vulnerable adults. To report a concern or learn more see Safeguarding Information and read our Policy.
Lockdown III
In light of the current rise in COVID cases - including locally - although we have established safe practices in our collective worship we believe we should respond to the current call to "stay home".
Therefore, in consultation with the Bishop, Church Wardens and Standing Committies, and with regret - our churches will not be holding public or collective worship until further notice.
St Michael's will continue to open on Fridays for private prayer (10am - 3.30pm).
Online worship will continue for the forseeable future, so St Michael's and our sister church, St Mary's in Meppershall are still worshipping together on-line; still loving and still reaching out.
We are doing this twice a day at 9 0'Clock:
- 9am is Morning Prayer. If you are able to, please download the Lectio 365 App to follow along with the LIVE broadcast: https://www.24-7prayer.com/dailydevotional
- 9pm is Compline
- PLUS, Sunday morning @ 10.30 (see Online Worship page for service and activity sheets links).
You can either join us via Facebook Live, or if you're not a Facebook member you can join us via our Online Worship page, or via You Tube.
You can also listen to the latest Sunday service via our 'Listen-in Worship Blog', or by phone - please share this if you know someone who doesn't have access to the internet - dial: 01462 559112 (local call charges apply).
