Shefford Scarecrow Festival 2010

Pupils at Shefford Lower School, which describes itself as a "Values Based School" have been busy making Scarecrows that depict positive values.

Each month, the children explore a positive value, such as sharing, trust etc., and the Scarecrow Festival is a highly visible and tangible outcome of this important work.

The 1st Shefford Scarecrow Festival, held on Saturday 9th October was their opportunity to display their colourful and highly imaginative work.

St Michael's was pleased to provide a venue for this event which, combined with the monthly Farmer's Market, brought in many visitors who enjoyed voting for their favourite Scarecrow.

The Scarecrows will be on display in St Michael's during Sunday 10th October, which is our Harvest Festival.
