Palm Sunday 2008

Palm Sunday at St Michael's started with a procession from the community hall this year. The procession was led by a donkey called "Twiglet" (kindly supplied by John & Diana Dunstan of Shillington), and was designed to represent Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem as the King of peace.

Although the weather was awful, with strong, gusty winds (that put an end to at least one umbrella!) and pouring rain, we had a very good turnout, including some of our friends from St Mary's in Meppershall.

The promise of meeting a real donkey had caused a great deal of excitement amongst the local children and a good number of them were able to attend.

The service included a procession around the Church, and the the Vicar, John Harper managed involve most of the children and a fair few adults in his interactive talk.

Many thanks to all who contributed their time and talents to make this a wonderful start to Holy Week...
