Christmes Tree Festival 2009

Christmas Tree Festival LogoThis year's Christmas Tree Festival (our 3rd) was the biggest yet, with 26 entries from local groups and businesses.

If you've never been to our Christmas Tree Festival before, you may be surprised by the amount of effort put into the design and execution of these trees. They are not merely "pretty" trees decorated with shop-bought baubles - each and every tree has a strong theme and is adorned with hand-made decorations of a universally high quality and ingenuity.

Visitors to the festival are invited to vote for their favourite tree, and to make comments - the most common being that it's VERY difficult to choose a favourite as they are all so good!

Prize Winners

Funds Raised

Although free to visit, the festival raised over £610 through donations, the sale of home-made soups, cakes etc., and a raffle.

We would like to extend our special thanks to Shefford's business community for their enthusiastic generosity in donating some amazing raffle prizes.

Half of the funds raised will be donated to the Pasque Charity (Keech Cottage Children's Hospice); the remainder will be added to St Michael's Tower Restoration Fund

Can we improve on this for next year? Watch this space...
