Jean Odell has asked us to pass on her thanks to everyone who helped in any way with the Christmas Shoebox Appeal – an amazing 42 boxes were filled this year!

Week 1

Saturday 1	5.15pm	Community carol singing with Shefford Lower School (outside Lloyds) with "Get in the Picture" Nativity Tableau from 4.30pm. Contact Fran Rolfe for details 850115
Saturday 1	6pm	Christmas Lights switch-on, followed by songs from Chicksands Military Wives Choir. Do stay on to enjoy late night shopping, refreshments and Christmas attractions.

1st Sunday

Sunday 2	8.30am	Holy Communion
	10am	Family Service - today Mary, Joseph and the donkey begin their journey to Bethlehem via Shefford. If you would like to offer them hospitality for a night, please sign up on the list in church or contact Jenny on 01462 817337

Saturday 8	9am-4pm	CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL: Donations to Sue Ryder Care - St John's Hospice and Church Tower restoration fund. Official opening at 10am by Shefford Gala Princesses. Soup and bread, teas/coffees, cakes, mince pies, jewellery stall.

	2.30pm	CAROL SERVICE at The Birches (everyone welcome)
	4pm-5pm	Lighting Up the World - A Festival of Winter Music, performed by The Three Counties Choir in aid of church funds. We are privileged to host the Stagecoach Theatre Arts School, a group of enthusiastic young singers some of whom are semi-professional. Entrance free and open to all but donations warmly received. Tea and cake served after - contact Judy Robinson 01462 811500 to offer help.

Christmas Eve	2 for 2.30pm	GABRIEL'S CHRISTMAS: Children's Nativity Service (but unaccompanied adults also welcome!!). Doors open 2pm for those keen to get started on making stuff... and this year there's a craft for the grown-ups too. If you can help (eg with craft tables) please ring Jenny on 01462 817337
