A Joyous Easter 2014!
“Death swallowed a body, and met God face to face.” [Hippolytus]
The numbers are growing! More people than ever celebrated the death of Death at the War Memorial this Easter Day – an experience that is hard to forget!
St Michaels Church, along with other churches and the whole company of Heaven celebrated Christ’s Resurrection this Easter with joy.
Whether it was the stirring words of Hippolytus, a third century theologian, the champagne breakfast, the excitement of Easter, or just being together as a church family we’ll never know.
We do know, however, that when, at the beginning of the Easter Communion, Roni and Andrew Goodman greeted us with, “Christ is risen” the response was gloriously, startlingly, triumphantly tumultuous: “HE IS RISEN INDEED, ALLELUIA!”
